Biodive, the alias of Cape Town-based DJ, producer, and promoter Terrence Pearce, began his DJ journey in the early 2000s, In the mid-2000s, he moved to Cape Town to immerse himself in electronic music, joining the Untamed Youth crew as a resident DJ. Terrence Pearce went on to establish the Private Life collective—a weekly party at The Waiting Room that ran for nearly eight years. During this time, he released music under his birth name on labels like Futureboogie, FINA, and Wolf Music.Later, he and friends formed the NTSC crew, a platform for his club-driven sounds and his latest project, Biodive.Biodive’s debut, “40 Now,” launched on Seb Wildblood’s Church label in 2019, gaining international support. Following this, he released an EP on the emerging COYMIX label, ‘COY001,’ and another on P.istol, with a remix by Montréal’s Priori. His most recent projects include EPs on Craigie Knowes and Gestalt, marking an exciting continuation and development to his sound.
